Room in the basement with no windows?

Question

I have a room in my basement with no windows. I really hate it. It's cold, and dark, and I HATE spiders and they're all over the place :( How can I like it better? I had a room upstairs, but then I really wanted to go to the basement and now I hate it, but I can't go back because it costed alot of money cause we painted it and put flooring in and stuff :(

get you an air purifier so you have clean air down there, put a drum set in a corner to make it seem as though you got some sort of art in you, hang you a disco ball, ceiling fan would do good, go to home depot and buy that bug killer that kills all types of sh@t and is good for inside and out, hang things up, oh man i always wanted a basement for a room, just hook it up, but not pack rat style.

Spray for bugs often. And, get a ceiling fan that has lights on it. For extra lighting you could also find some really cool floor lamps. Just get things going in there to make it likeable. Hang things on the wall, get a cool area rug, and set it up how you like it. Good Luck!!

Get an inexpensive pest controller to take care of the spiders.  Attach a mural on one wall, that is really bright. Install lights to shine on the mural, to make it appear that you are seeing the outside.  Add lots of lights, and a dehumidifier to remove moisture.
