Room rate Melbourne?

I be going study my PhD in Melbourne University this July 08. How much is the room rate near the university.

Cost of rental has gone up very fast this year.  A studio apartment near Uni of Melb is about A$230 including gas but exclude water and electricity.  Be prepared to pay A$50/wk for electricity, unlimited broadband A$49/mth and coin laundry at A$2/wash and to tumble dry also A$2/cycle.  Check out SHA they do student accommodation.

Go online for Melbourne rentals.There is always shared accomodation for srudents which is cheaper.You could always check with the uni about where you could get reasonable acommodation.

I think $200 would be closer to the mark to get a small one bedroom apartment.  There is a big shortage of rental properties here at the moment and it is pushing prices up very high.
