Room upgrade?

what are the chances of getting a room upgrade at the iberostar daiquiri cayo guillermo if i email them stating that its my honeymoon,and what room no. and building should i ask for

It generally depends on how full the hotel is, we've been to Cuba a few times and have managed one room upgrade free of charge because it was my hubby's 50th birthday and the hotel wasn't that busy, its worth a try so go for it and good luck.

You can request an upgrade. But the best way to do this is through your travel agent. I've been able to make my request specifying room, floor, etc.

It will be marked on your itinerary for your records as well.

If for some reason you didn't deal with an agent in person and only booked directly online, then perhaps you can try to contact the agency and ask to speak to a rep who can and most likely will be able to help you with the upgrade.

You can also contact the resort and request this and get confirmation.

But first try to go through a travel agent.

PS: Make sure you get an oceanview room on the upper floors. Also try and book a V.I.P room so that you can get your fridge stocked daily and you'll get the little perks of bathrobes and slippers, late check-out....things like this. Anything to make your honeymoon more relaxed (if those things appeal to you).

When you tell them it's your honeymoon, they make your arrival extra special. But don't forget they'll need a copy of your marriage certificate as proof that you actually did get married and it's your honeymoon (since many have probably tried to pretend it is for the extra perks).
