  3. well try to meet them before hand dont just wait till that day you move in ... that way you ll get a clear picture of who you ll be sharing that room with ...

    try to have good communication ...w/ them

    both of you decide tasks evenly like one vacuums while the other does dishes and stuff like that that way it will be faster

    talk about what would make you uncomfortable like for example if she brings other people into the dorm etc.. that way you ll guys be more understanding of each other ..

    try not to get in to your roommates personal business..unless he/ she asks you for advice ...that would avoid problems

  4. Both parties need to set rules and respect each others rules and differences. We may not always like someone, but you can always find a way to deal with the person. Try being the solution to the problem... it really works!!!

    We don't always have to be the 1 to say the last word... "Be the bigger person"

    or just move out!!!

  5. Set up your 3 most can't do things in your house first. those are the things you just will not tolerate. then let her know the little things that will make your roommate relationship go smoothly. and ask for her 3 most cant do llist.

  9. Lots of communication, plenty of tolerance and if things are really bad, a third party friend who is unbiased and will tell you all the truth as they see it.

    I think some of the most important guidelines for living with others is to respect each other as well as each other's space, and know the rules of the house.  If you don't have any, perhaps it would be to your benefit to make some so that everyone is happy.
