Roomba 400 had no manual with it or maybe i...

Question

I either misplaced the manual for the red irobot roomba 4000 vacuum or it didn't come with one. After opening the box I charged my brand new irobot roomba 4000 for about 10 hours after charging it, i pressed the clean button and nothing happened. Please help.... is something missing or am i missing something.
