I have 2 adult leopard geckos in a 20 gallon tank (long). Besides a third leopard gecko, can I add anything to their habitat? Like frogs or anoles?

Thanks in advance

  1. been there done that has it spot on (as usual)

    here's a site with a bit more info http://www.reptileexpert.co.uk/Accommoda...

  2. No leapord geckos will fight with other types of reptiles.Even adding another leapord gecko could cause yours to get mad and fight with the new one.so if you want to get a new leapord gecko i suggest getting a bigger tank.

  3. No, it is never a good idea to mix species for many reasons, just a couple of which are incompatible habitats and bacteria issues from each species.

Also, 20 gal. is the minimum recommend space for a single adult Leo.  If you try adding anything else in there you'll be causing stress which can lead to territorial fights, and illness.

Your Leos don't need more company.

You might want to upgrade the Leos to a 30 gal. long, then you would have the 20 gal. for a new pet.

    Enjoy your pets.

I hope this has been helpful.
