Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney believes Luis Suarez should have seen a red card for a lunge on Scott Parker during http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809’s Premier league clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
Suarez came back from an eight match ban, to make a second half appearance against Tottenham last night. However, the striker went on to kick Scott Parker in the second half and saw only a yellow card for his actions.
United striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 seems to have been watching the match rather closely and has revealed that the striker deserved to see red for his actions.
At the same time, the England international went on to defend his personal discipline record in the league this season, in order to prevent any comments about his actions.
While referring to the incident, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international used his Twitter account to reveal just how he felt.
Rooney is quoted to have said: “If ref sees that kick from suarez and books him for it it should be red,”
“For everyone saying about my aggression i aint had 1 yellow card in premier league this season.”
Former Red Devil, Garry Neville also went on to feel the same way as Rooney and stated that the striker did deserve to see a red card for his actions in the game.
When Kenny Dalglish was asked about how these comments from Neville and Rooney made him feel, he responded by stating: “Why don’t you tweet Wayne back? I don’t have a view on what they’ve tweeted, especially when I’ve not seen it.”
“If http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Neville-c14447 or Wayne were standing there and asked me the question I could answer them but I don’t think you can speak for them. I think I’ll just plead the fifth amendment.”
While watching the Uruguayan’s actions on repeat, it is safe to assume that there was some malice in his actions towards Parker.
However, at the same time the referee probably wanted the striker to take the easy route out, considering he just came back from an eight game ban.
Nonetheless, if the FA decide to review the player’s actions, Suarez could potentially see himself miss out on another game or two.
