Rooney to potentially be on his way to Madrid
Manchester United’s misfiring striker and England international super star, Wayne Rooney could potentially be on the verge of trading Old Trafford for the Bernabeu, this is of course if the reports that have emerged from Spain are anything to be believed.
It has been reported that the twenty four year old has grown so frustrated at the way he is being treated in England by the media, that he has decided that he can no longer operate successfully in the country. The player is also obviously not very happy
about the fact that he was dropped from the team, on a number of occasions this season and is looking to potentially regain his super star status, elsewhere.
Real Madrid have managed to get hold of some of the best Manchester United players in the past, the list of players that have made the jump from Old Trafford to the Bernabeu include the likes of David Beckham, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and of course Cristiano
Ronaldo. The La Liga giant’s plan on continuing that streak as they look to lure Rooney to sunny Spain as early as this January.
Wayne Rooney on the other hand has also admitted that if he does not manage to get his head back in the game, he would have no choice but to leave the club. The player also added that if he does leave the team then there would be close to no options of the
player playing for another club in England and hence the only sensible option for him would be to play for a team outside of England.
Rooney has been displaying some of the poorest form of his life ever since the end of the FIFA World Cup 2010. His performances have been nothing more than a mere shadow of what he was capable of, and it doesn’t look like the player is in any position to
get his game back to the way it once was. In fact the player has been misfiring at such a high level that he was dropped by Alex Ferguson for a number of games in the Premier League this season and contrary to popular belief, the players absence did very little
or no damage to the United side, in fact United have so far this season performed better in the absence of Rooney.
It has also been reported that the player has been feeling so badly about his life at United, thanks to the local media, that he has asked his representatives to halt all talks about a contract renewal with United until further notice.
Manchester United were willing to offer the misfiring striker a new and improved contract that would see get a significant raise over the ninety thousand pounds a week that he currently bags at the club. However with the player currently looking to be in
no mood to talk about any contract, the progress regarding that situation has been brought to a halt, indefinitely.
The Manchester United fans on the other hand, are not to keen on seeing one of their favorite players leave the team, under such circumstances and almost everyone is hoping that the golden boy of English football, can get his mind back in the game so they
can lay witness to his genius on the pitch once again.
