“Rooney wants to leave”, says Sir Alex Ferguson
In a very recent press conference the 68-year-old boss of the prestigious Manchester United football club Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed all the roars right that the English veteran striker and playmaker Wayne Rooney wants to leave the club.
The news about Wayne’s Rooney aiming to retire from the Man. United football club has filled the air of the sports news of the world. The fans of Rooney and Man United seem pretty disappointed and devastated about the fact and the issue has brought a series
of new conspiracies and allegations about the relationship of Rooney with the club’s boss, Ferguson.
In the press conference Alex Ferguson seemed very concerned with the matter and revealed that Wayne is intending to quit from the club, and he is still not been able to understand the reasons behind Rooney’s decision. Ferguson told the media that he was
first informed about Rooney’s future plan in August and now it has been confirmed that he will not extend his contract with the club. It is to be notified that Wayne’s contract with the club will expire in 2012.
Ferguson said that he does not know the reasons behind the issue and he cannot answer to any question about it as well. He continued and said that a person can only wonder and can create opinions about it and if a player is obstinate about his decision than
the club cannot stop him from leaving. Ferguson seemed very upset and tensed about the matter and expressed his thoughts and said that for Wayne the doors are still open and he can think about his decision again.
It was also reported that Wayne is slightly unhappy with the behaviour of Ferguson and in a very recent interview the English striker contradicted the Man United boss in announcements about his physical fitness and injury. It is also to be noticed that Ferguson
has rarely selected Rooney since the news about the striker’s private life scandal appeared. Ferguson apparently took the matter in his hands and forced the striker to sit outside the playing field. At first he said that he is intending to protect the player
and after some time Ferguson started to tell that Rooney is suffering from an injury.
The public statement of Rooney saying that he has had no injury added more fuel to the fire. While Ferguson was asked about Wayne’s statement the 68-year-old said that he is very disappointed and still unable to understand that why Rooney said that. Ferguson
added that they never had an argument. He continued and told that his relation with Rooney was very friendly, and it is very easy for anyone to blame the manager for a team’s brethren.
The Manchester United manager told that the chief executive of the club David Gill had begun contract negotiations with Rooney even before the football world cup. Ferguson added that he was told by David Gill that Rooney is not willing to sign a new contract
with the club.
It is also to be noticed that Rooney publically expressed his sheer excitement for the club and said that he is playing in the world biggest football club, and he is feeling proud of the fact. When Ferguson was asked about his feelings about the matter the
Scot told the media that he was flabbergasted after knowing the fact that Rooney was intending to leave as he was the one who said that he wants to play for the club forever and he just don’t know what has happened to the 24-year-old.
After the revelations by Alex Ferguson it is proved that the career of English veteran striker with the club is over now. Rooney will hope for some other football club. The time will reveal the further proceedings of the matter.
