Rooney’s clashes with Ferguson; Five Possible Players who can replace the want-away striker (Part 4)
Continued...
Without a doubt, the six feet five inches Bosnian striker, Edin Dzeko is one of the contenders that could replace Wayne Rooney at Manchester United.
Undoubtedly, the young Bosnian star has been a prolific strike force with his strong physical presence in front of the goal. Dzeko is a supernatural goal scorer therefore could be planted between the posts to become the perfect firepower for Manchester United’s
style of play.
The German outfit, Wolfsburg was open to accept offers for their talismanic forward during the summers. In fact the German club demanded a price of 30 million for him. In the summers, that amount of money looked huge but now with the money from the Rooney
trade, Sir Alex Ferguson would face no financial problems to sign the Bosnian young sensation.
The 23-year-old international can be the real thing at Old Trafford and could prove to be the replacement of David Beckham because of his impeccable control and amazing free kick taking ability. Dzeko, who scored his first Champions League goals against
the Red Devils, could become the next big thing under the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.
Higuain or Benzema
The two young Madrid forwards could also be the perfect replacement of want-away Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney. Real Madrid new boss, The Special One, Jose Mourinho has always expressed his strong desire for English striker. The Portuguese manager
of Real Madrid has even admired Rooney’s talent and publicly admitted that he would love to coach Rooney one day.
There were rumours in last summer’s window linking Karim Benzema and cash swap for Manchester United in form striker Wayne Rooney. But that never happened. But, such a move is a possibility in coming winter transfer window is available.
However, recently Los Blancos manager has expressed that Real Madrid is already full of talents up front and there are is no room for Wayne Rooney at Santiago Bernabeu. Mourinho said that his in-form forwards cannot be made to sit as a benchwarmer in order
to replace Rooney.
Despite all this, Madrid's interest in Manchester United’s want-away seems to be real though. The Spanish Giants can mostly offer the cash plus their unsettled player like Karim Benzema, who is fighting hard to win the first team place, or the young Argentinean,
Gonzalo Higuain.
Everybody would love to see any of the talented young Madrid forwards at Old Trafford, but there are more chances for young French sensation Karim Benzema coming to Manchester United.
Diego Forlan
The former Manchester United player, who was considered as a flop at Old Trafford, could prove to be a perfect replacement of Wayne Rooney. The Uruguayan talismanic striker can end the worries of Sir Alex Ferguson. Without a doubt, he is one of the most
in form in Europe at present. Though, Diego Forlan was unsuccessful with Sir Alex Ferguson, but by looking at his current form, he can do wonders at Old Trafford.  During his time with Manchester United, the experienced Uruguayan striker could not make up
a good pair with the then striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy and thus ended up being transferred to Atheltico Madrid.
The talismanic striker of Atletico Madrid and Uruguayan national team has been in red hot form since January. The 31-year-old striker scored the crucial goal in Europa League final against Fulham and helped his team win Europa League for the first time in
their history. Along with that, his contribution in FIFA World Cup for his national team was superb. He led his unknown squad from the front and helped them reach Semi-Final which they lost to Netherland.
Forlan’s impressive performance in the World Cup earned him World Cup’s greatest individual performance award, Golden Shoe. Forlan scored 5 goals in the FIFA World Cup and was one of the top scorers in the tournament.
