Rooney’s clashes with Ferguson; Five Possible Players who can replace the want-away striker. Part 5 Last Part
Continued...
The Uruguayan striker was always admired by Manchester United legendary manager, though the player could not settle himself earlier under Sir Alex Ferguson, but he has always been in good touch with him. The Red Devils may go for this Atheltico Madrid forward
in the January transfer window which will result in a re-united deal everyone has been awaiting for.
Torres
Undoubtedly, Fernando Torres is among the best striker of recent times. The Spanish forward is playing for Manchester United’s fierce rival Liverpool, who are currently battling relegation zone. The talismanic striker of Liverpool is currently not so happy
about the things happening at Anfield. With the Liverpool finishing seventh last season, Torres wanted to leave Liverpool but their new manager Roy Hodgosn was lucky in convinvy him to stay at the Merseyside.
Torres is a deadly venomous viper in the box. Without a doubt, Torres is a solid reason of Liverpool’s success for last three seasons.  However, matters at Liverpool have demotivated El Nino and it seems he might make a move to Manchester United who are
looking intrested in signing the coveted striker.
Moreover, there is a lot of speculation that former Atheltico Madrid striker is topping Sir Alex Ferguson’s wish list in order to find perfect replacement of want-away striker Wayne Rooney.
Last night, Liverpool’s manager Roy Hodgson said: 'I think we will cross that bridge when we come to it. There will always be speculation.
'When a great player like Wayne Rooney is looking to leave his club, then you know Manchester United will be in a position to target a lot of players around the world. I don't think Fernando will be the only striker they target - and I don't think we will
be the only club worried that their striker is in their sights.
'I am not naive enough to believe that there won't be any danger and we will never lose a player like Torres. I understand these things can happen. I don't believe we will lose him.
'We will do our best to ensure he stays and I only hope I can do everything in my power to help him return to the very top level. I certainly hope he will get back to that sort of form very quickly.'
The prospect of Fernando Torres joining bitter rivals would cause huge ructions among the Merseyside fans that are desperate for an upturn in fortunes.
In the wake of Liverpool manager’s shock admission, Sir Alex may just be starting to think he could pull off one of the most audacious transfer coups of his Manchester United reign.
The Liverpool striker has fallen well short of his previously prolific output in the season and now the Merseyside club struggling in 19th place in English Premier League with just six points from eight games.
To shake matters for the worst Fernando Torres was linked with a move to a Spanish club, Barcelona. However, if Wayne Rooney exits Old Trafford beofre his contract expires, then Torres might land up with a different red shirt this time.
The Liverpool striker has always asked for a support striker with him at Anfield, but Roy Hodgson was busy decorating his flop defence. By looking at the current condition of Liverpool, Torres may leave Anfield and Manchester United is likely to be his next
destination.
In addition to that, the legendary manager of Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson has always been a huge admirer of Fernando Torres. Sir Alex wanted to sign the Spanish striking powerhouse in 2007 meanwhile Carlos Tevez joined Manchester United and Sir
Alex withdrew from the Torres race.
But, there is another important fact which is that Manchester United will not be alone in the race for Torres, Chelsea and Manchester City are also pushing hard to attain the services of Liverpool striker.
