Root Beer Cake?

Ive read it needs only the cake mix and can of root beer. I have also read you need eggs and all the other stuff for it. Whats the difference if I just used the soda and if I used the soda plus the regular ingredients?

You just need chocolate cake mix and a can of root beer. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes, then sprinkle with powdered sugar. It's really light and tasty.

You can also use Sprite and yellow cake mix.

Don't know what happens with soda plus regular ingredients. The point is that it comes out really light with just the soda. You can use diet soda too.
