Root canal tooth is falling out

will it hurt if I let it fall out?

Or will the pain just be the same as

Losing a normal tooth???

  2. Won't hurt a bit, as long as nothing around it gets infected. They killed the root to do the canal. Try not to fiddle with it.

  3. When a tooth has had a root canal, the nerve has been removed from the tooth, so you most likely won't have any pain from the tooth itself.

    On the other hand, if the tooth needs to be removed, you would still need to be anesthetized because you will still have pain from the surrounding bone and tissues.

    If it is falling out on it's own, as discussed, the tooth probably won't hurt, but the gums around it may hurt.  You should have a dentist remove it though, because it may just be part of the tooth that is loose and not the entire root.  And if the root or part of the tooth is left (under your gum), that can get infected or cause other problems.
