  1. Go Big Brown!

  2. I would be delighted if "Big Brown" wins the Triple Crown. I am rooting for him!! I also think his trainer talks way too much, but I really like "Big Brown". Go Baby Go!!!

  3. against..I going to have money on it.

  4. Of course, rooting for Big Brown. He deserves it.

  5. Whenever you have a horse in contention to win the Triple Crown, you have to root for him.  It is a feit that is rarely accomplished.

  6. Of course I'm rooting for him!  First of all, I'd love to see a Triple Crown winner -- you can say what you want about his competition, but it doesn't matter who he runs against - it's still a huge accomplishment to win those 3 races in 5 weeks, and it would be a great thing for horse racing.  Second, a horse doesn't choose his connections any more than a person choses their parents.  Just because you don't like the owners or trainer, you shouldn't hold that against the horse.  I'm not to crazy about Curlin's old owners being in jail, but I'm a big fan of him, and I haven't seen people hating on him the way they do Big Brown.  I understand that some people don't want to get their hopes up too high (I was heartbroken when Smarty Jones lost the Belmont), but I also think that people who won't get on the bandwagon are really going to regret it if Big Brown wins.

  7. Since one can hardly say that the crop of 3-year-olds this year is an exciting and thrilling group of horses, one might suspect that as a champion Big Brown is over-rated and that he is just an above average horse who has been competing against a crop of mediocre challengers. But that being said, I am rooting for Big Brown to seize the final jewel of the Triple Crown, but I will hardly be thrilled by his crowning since there has not been a high caliber challenger this year to put his greatness to the test, a high caliber challenger such as was Alydar who tested Affirmed and challenged him neck-to-neck to the wire in all 3 legs of the 1978 Triple Crown, validating Affirmed's greatness. So when you "party like its 1978," remember the crop of 3-year-olds that year whose challenge to Affirmed made the Triple Crown victory ever more sweet.

  8. i don't want him to win because he is always a has a lows odds on him all the time and that's why he wins

  9. i would like to see him win and i am not a horse racing fan (just a sports fan in general)

  10. against. why? corporate sponsorship.

no. it has nothing to do with UPS. it has to do with naming the horse to acquire corporate branding. too many things are commercial in this country. cant we stop trying to make a quick buck long enough to keep a sport purely sport?

  11. As a New York no doubt about it I will be rooting for Big Brown. Now, I don't know about partying like it's 1978 though. I love your abundance of confidence.

  12. The Brown by 4.5 lengths.

  13. GET ON THE BUS.....HE CANT LOSE.

  14. for the record: BB by 8 lengths.

he has accelleration and speed no one can touch this year.  when he is allowed to go, he levels out and his stride becomes nearly 1.5x that of the other horses running.  look at the horses he ran blew past at the top of the derby & preakness - those horses lost their heart to run after him and quit - they just couldn't match his turn of speed.

nor do I see CD as being able to match BB's speed - he's bred for the distance - but as BB finishes races without breaking a sweat, I don't see the added 1/4 mile making that much of a difference.  I could see CD keeping up with BB when he's loafing, but not when BB turns it on.

  15. rooting for BB..but even if he does win the question will still be who did he beat?

  16. Okay......

    Ill take the risk.

To those who say...cmon, who has Big Brown Beaten?

My answer is...Every single horse who ever went up against him, thats who!!!

What did you need to see? Him win by 19 lengths?

Well, ive got news for you, he could have, but his Jockey is not stupid enough to use his horse for nothing.

This horse is much faster that what you have seen so far.

In my opinion, there hasent been so much talent in a horse for many, many years. (Except Barbaro..)

Barring a further hoof problem, ill go on record stateing that there is not a horse out there who can touch him!!!

    Go get-em Boy!!!!!!!

I dont mean to sound cocky, i just know hes the real deal...

    That enough confidence for you?

  17. I'm not rooting for or against Big Brown.  I'm just going to watch and see what happens.  I'll be happy to see a Triple Crown winner since I've never had that opportunity in my lifetime.  And the sport desperately needs something positive to bring people back to the track after all the bad things that have been happening recently.  However, I really don't like Dutrow and I don't think he should be compared with Lucien Laurin or even with Todd Pletcher for that matter.  So I dunno... I guess I'll be happy either way.  We do really need a Triple Crown winner though.
