Rootkit????help plz!!!!

Question

i know what's a rootkit but i don't know its consequences. I have just downloaded kaspersky internet security 2009 from kaspersky's site but it's a trial.....so somebody told me to download serials(keys) to obtain the license(http://kavkiskey.com/new.html) but i think that those keys may contain rootkits....am I right???what will be the consequences???

Rootkits may be used for both productive and destructive purposes.
