Rory MacDonald confident of stopping Mills sooner than anticipated – UFC News
Rory MacDonald is confident that he can beat his UFC 145 opponent Che Mills sooner than anyone can expect. If MacDonald is able to beat Mills, he will get his UFC title shot next. Therefore, he wants to put up a competitive show to not only impress his fans
but also UFC officials.
Right now, Rory is considered among UFC’s rising stars in the welterweight division. On the other hand, Mills is a strong contender as well since he has won his last 5 bouts. It should be noted here that this would be MacDonald’s first fight in the last
eight months, therefore he needs to train well in order to make it up to the mark.
While talking about the match, MacDonald stated, “Fight week is finally here and I can't wait to get my hands on my next opponent Che Mills, and add him to my list of beaten victim. I've been preparing for this moment for weeks, months even, and am so close
I can almost taste it. The hard work is done, the time is nearly up, and I'm itching to show the world what I've been working on all this time. There won't be any negativity in my head at this point. No doubt, anxiety or fear. I don't allow any of that stuff
to enter my head. If anything, this is the most confident and self-assured I have ever been in my life.”
MacDonald was out of the game due to an injury he suffered in his last fight. However, now he thinks he is ready to give his best in the ring. He added that every fighter needs to know that he is ready before stepping in the ring and that he feels he is
ready. He further stated that he wants to work hard and achieve all what he has planned to achieve during all these years. He then said that UFC is his home and fighting is his life, therefore he wants to make the best out of it.
MacDonald will take on Mills this Saturday at UFC 145. Both the fighters are at their best right now so it is an important fight for both.
