Rory McIlroy accompanies tennis star girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki to Australia
The world number one golfer, Rory McIlroy accompanied his girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki to Australia, as she will be taking part in the pre Australian Open tournament in Brisbane.
The Danish tennis star, Wozniacki has been affected by injuries. Thus, she missed out on major tournaments and did not play up to her standards recently.
The former world number one, Wozniacki is one of the top players on the circuit, but she has not been performing the way she did earlier on.
With the Australian Open about to start, which is one of the major tournaments of the tennis calendar year, players require plenty of preparations and practice. Hence the Brisbane tournament provides a perfect practicing ground for the major event.
The tennis star has her boyfriend, McIlroy who will be watching her battle it out on the court.
As the world number one golfer has time on his hands, he is making its best use by spending it with his girlfriend.
The Danish professional tennis player was seen wearing a new ring on her hand which left many with confused expressions. It was speculated that McIlroy has secretly been engaged to the 22-year-old tennis player.
However, he removed doubts by commenting that nothing as such has taken place as yet.
The couple, who has been spending considerable time with each other for the past few weeks due to the off season, will get back to their routines.
Wozniacki will be busy playing on the Women’s Tennis Association Tour and McIlroy, whose season will start from the middle of January, will be busy from then onwards.
Both the athletes have been highly vocal about their relationship.
McIlroy recently said that he had a great year of golf and credited the Danish tennis player for his successful year. He said that she has a major influence on him and makes the golfer work harder.
Wozniacki slipped down the rankings after having dominated the Tour. With so much physical strength involved in tennis, one needs to be in perfect shape to contend for the title.
