Rory McIlroy has it all planned out
Rory McIlroy has not been playing his usual game in the last few tournaments. He has been very inconsistent about his game. In recent tournaments, he has missed many cuts. He has lost his concentration on the course.
In the recent British Championship Open, his performance was not up to the mark. He ended with an eight-over par and was fifteen strokes behind the leader of the tournament, Ernie Els, who has seven-under par after four days.
Nonetheless, he is still happy at the moment. The reason for his happiness is his girlfriend, the tennis star, Caroline Wozniacki. McIlroy has not been playing well since these two sports icon started seeing each other.
Many people believe that the girl is the reason for McIlroy’s bad form. After the British Open, McIlroy went to Wimbledon to support Caroline Wozniacki at a tennis tournament.
McIlroy is somewhat desperate to see golf in the list of games of Olympics. In an interview he said, “It's something I am excited to do because when I started playing golf, I never thought that I would be able to play in an Olympics or be able to experience
some things that other athletes experience”.
After attending his girl friend’s match, McIlroy will have to come back to United States for a tournament and will have to skip her Olympic campaign.
“Hopefully, I will go to the opening ceremony on Friday and then maybe if Caroline plays on Saturday, I will be able to watch her”.
“Then I am gone on Sunday, so I won't get to see that much of it but I will obviously be keeping a close eye on the television,” he said.
The 23-year-old might be happy with himself and his personal life. Nonetheless, he admits it or not, his professional life is being affected by the tennis player. The fans are certainly not happy with his game and his performance in the past few events.
If he wants to do well in the upcoming tournaments, he needs to focus on his game and prioritise accordingly. Many fans still look up to him and want to see him back on top of the world rankings.
