Rory McIlroy is in love with the Americans, an emotional relationship
Rory McIlroy is in love with America and the Americans also love the young greatest star from Northern Ireland.
The love bond was revealed at the last tournament of PGA. It was Honda Classic in Florida and McIlroy was leading the scoreboard against his rivals.
The lead had increased the energy of the spectators and there was only one voice chanted from the gallery “Rory! Rory! Rory!”
McIlroy is now the world no. 1 player, after winning the amazing title of the Honda Classic at the PGA National Champion Course, Palm Beach Gardens. He defeated the former No.1 Luke Donald in the world rankings.
His glory was appreciated by all the Americans and his fans around the world. He also celebrated his biggest achievement in New York, with American friends and players. It also increased his love for the nation.
Now, he is getting slightly nervous for the upcoming World Golf Championship Tournament of Cadillac Championship at TPC Blue Monster in Doral Miami. The mega event is starting on Thursday, March 8, 2012.
“I’ve never been so nervous in my life,” McIlroy said in a news conference on Tuesday.
“No, I can hit a golf shot in front of a million people, but getting up there — I mean, I wanted to hit a serve, but I was thinking, ‘If I frame this into the crowd, I’m going to look so bad,’” he laughed.
He added, “So just a little under-arm, over the net. Maria was nice. She hit it back to me at quite a gentle pace”.
After celebrations of his victory in New York, he also appeared at a tennis match between Caroline Wozniacki, his girlfriend, and Maria Sharapova, at the Madison Square Garden in New York.
McIlroy enjoyed the crowd support at the tennis court. He returned to Florida on Tuesday. He is nervous but excited at the same time.
To maintain his top position, he should be more impressive from now on.
The 22-year-old Northern Irish increased his fan following after winning the Honda Classic and claiming the world No. 1 position.
Now his fans are expecting more from him and demanding that he display a more impressive game at the upcoming event of the WGC.
