Rosairlie relishing to win Follow @Coral On Twitter Handicap
The Micky Hammond-trained chestnut filly, Rosairlie, is keen to keep her podium record of 2012 intact by winning the Follow @Coral On Twitter Handicap here at Sandown racecourse on Friday, July 6. The Class 4 contest over 1 mile and 6 furlongs is scheduled
to start at 5:05 (GMT).
On the good track, the four-year-old veteran hound will run against 15 rivals for the prize cheque worth £4,205. For the first time in her career, the fantastic filly is going to perform at Sandown under a new jockey P. J. McDonald. Thus, today’s event will
be quite an experiment for her.
The way Rosairlie performed in her last five starts has undisputedly made her a strong candidate for this race. The brilliant daughter of Halling out of Mrs Mason started the calendar year with a third in Watt Fences Novices’ Hurdle over 2 mile and 3 furlongs
at Catterick.
The Airlie Stud-bred maverick sprinter marvellously accomplished top spot in the Bhest Conditional Jockeys’ Mares’ Handicap Hurdle over 2 miles and ½ furlong at Hexham on March 15---she was 15-8 favourite for that race.
After getting one more third on April 10, the skilled filly nicely grabbed a grand triumph in the Traders Betting Exchange Handicap Hurdle over 2 miles and 4 ½ furlongs at Hexham on April 23.
Being 2-1 favourite, Rosairlie elegantly finished as a runner-up in the O’Brien Recycling Handicap over 2 miles at Newcastle racecourse on May 18. She again earned a classic conquest in her last start at Ripon. This was the Ladies day 21st June
Book Now Handicap over 2 miles.
Thus, the filly is awash with winning drive that will lead her well to the finish line in the coming contest. She has up to 95 percent chances to thrive.
Rosairlie’s march towards victory will not be smooth as Callisto Moon is likely to give her rather tough time. The Jo Hughes-trained bay gelding nicely grabbed a grand victory in each of his last two starts on good to soft courses. Now, he is keen to complete
his hat-trick by winning Follow @Coral On Twitter Handicap. Overall, he has won 13 of his total 74 starts so far.
In this situation, a neck-to-neck clash is expected between Rosairlie and Callisto Moon. Let us see who turns to be the protagonist. Good luck to the duo.
