Hey, what's up! Thanks for checking out my question. I'm from Arizona, and a bunch of us are driving down to Rosarito in May. I know in Rocky Point they have bars that offer $20 for all you can drink. Is there any bars similiar in Rosarito?? If so, what bars. I'm a professional beer drinker = )

Also, can anyone elaborate on the differences between Papas & Beers versus Club Iggys?

THAAAANKS!!! I'll have a beer for everyone who answers my questions.

  1. You must have missed the report on the area on the Baja.  It has been the site of numerous robberies of late and tourism is down 60% as a result.

They haven't killed yet but they have been activating red lights and posing as police.  They have been leaving people on the roadside after cleaning them out .

To my knowledge these As%^&&^ have not been apprehended.

    Rocky point  Thumbs up

  2. My husband is the one who is answering this.  He says:

There are some places here in Rosartio that offer all you can drink for $20 or less.  Coco Beach is one that has recently opened that might offer that when you are here.

Papas & Beer is THE place.  He says Iggys sometimes has some shows, that is why people go there, but that the security and service isn't very good.  (Although, a lot of people do go there.)  There is also Club Maya that some people go to.  (There are many smaller clubs as well.) He says Papas & Beer is really the place you want to go.

If you have never been to Rosarito, there is one strip where many of the hotels and restaurants are.  The clubs are a block or two down, right on the beach.  It is generally safe.  People walk around this area at all times of the day and night.  Rosarito is a place where people come to party hard.  A lot of spring breakers and weekend partiers.  You can usually hear the music pumping for miles around.  (Sounds like you will like it here.)   The Festival Plaza Hotel is where many partiers stay.

Rosarito is like any place though, in any country.  You can find bad people.  You can also get in trouble for being stupid. If you drink on the streets, set off fireworks, destroy the hotel rooms, treat people rudely, don't respect the few rules they have in the clubs, restaurants, and hotels . . . you are asking for trouble.  (Just like in the U.S.)

So, come to Rosarito, have fun!  It is a great place to party and hang out.  The beach is wonderful and the weather will be nice.  But don't be one of the Americans who comes and acts trashy.
