Looking to go to Mexico for a few days next weekend. Which is the better place to go? What are the pros/cons to both? I've never been. Thanks.

  1. STAY AWAY FROM ENSENADA.  Its a town full of pimps, drugs and whores.  I dont know anything about Rosarito, but I do know that nothing good can come out of visiting Ensenada.

  2. OMG    the deep fried lobster in Rosarito  is to die for.

lobster village  -   all kinds of shops

horses to rent on the beach along the way.

  3. Both places are OK to visit. In 25 years of visiting and living in Baja Norte, I've never seen a pimp and the hookers look like American cheerleaders...or maybe its just silly girls who want to dress like hookers. Best restaurant in Ensenada is El Rey Sol, expensive and up market. In Rosarito, the old Rosarito Hotel is worth looking at for the tile work and murals alone. Sometimes I think the people who blast these cities have never been there. Have fun.

  4. I love Ensenada, I've been going there since I was a kid in the 70's.  It's a great place to visit.  The clubs that are in right now are: Banana, Mango Mango and Papas and Beer.

Rosarito is a great place too.  Delicious and cheap lobsters in Puerto Nuevo (next to Rosarito). Lots of clubs to go to.  But it's getting to be like TJ, with all those drug dealers and killings.  A few months ago, four police officers in Rosarito were killed. I just hope that all this mafia does not reach Ensenada.

  5. The stathe of BAJA CALIFORNIA NORTE is very beautiful, but the beach of LOS CABOS is better than rosarito and ensenada

  6. Rosarito Beach is nice but unlike the other poster, I had a great time in Ensenada. We really enjoyed the locals (except when we almost travelled onto a military base, ALTO, ALTO!!!) Great lobster dinner for about $13 each. Hussong and Larry's Cantina was great, we even had a waiter chase us down the street wearing my hubby's glasses which he left on the table and would not take a penny for returning them. Also had a little boy watch our car for a couple of dollars and when we came back he was still there.
