  1. It's black spot, a fungus suffered by all plants in the rose family. Collect up any fallen leaves from below the plant and dispose of them - not in the compost as the spores will live on. Keep the plant well watered and fed, tomato feed will do and the foliage should recover. It's a condition that's made worse by humidity and irregular watering, it won't kill the plant, just make it look unsightly. Best to avoid fungicides as they can be harmful to beneficial insects.

  2. Yeah I think that's a fungus. I use this stuff called Bayer all in one rose and flower care. It's a fertlizer, insecticide and fungicide.  yeah it's not organic and people tend to poo poo the use of chemicals, but I'll tell you what, my roses look great!

  3. Apart from aphids black spot is the most common ailment of roses. I'm  afraid once you've got it all you can is spray with a fungicide, I prefer Rose clear, kills fly as well. By this action you will only keep the disease in check. When the leaves have fallen gather up all you can and dispose. Give the bare rose a good spraying, branches included and the soil, and repeat next spring as growth begins. I have never been able to eradicate, just keep it in check, some roses are more susceptible than others.

  4. i think its green fly..get some wash up liquid..delete it with water,,and spray underneath.mary.c.

  5. It's called "black spot", is a type of fungus and there are fungicides that will kill it.

  6. Sounds like the black spot fungus has hit your roses.  It's hard to get rid of because the fungus is in the soil.
