Rose recipe?

Is the following recipe possible to replicate.?

It appeared in a Nostradamus book

The book claims that it is an old recipe for throat lozenges .

Anyone know this recipe ?

Petals of 300-400 roses picked before dawn

1 oz. green cyprus sawdust

6 oz. Iris of Florence

3 oz. cloves

3 drams sweet-smelling calamus

6 drams aloe

I believe it was the recipe for the plague over in Europe.

You can get any and all of the herbs in a local Health Food store. I would suggest instead of rose petals that you substitute "rose hips" which is what is left over after the petals fall off. They are naturally high in vitamin c and would do more for you than the petals. You can use Cyprus root instead of sawdust... lol

and Calamus is actually  called sweet flag.
