Rosemary, sweet basil, flat leaf parsley herb container garden

Question

I just planted these 3 things in one pot. Will they all survive together. Should I replace one with another? What combinations of herbs do you suggest? Also, is potting mix soil ok to use for herbs to be successful. I have found sites but nothing comprehensive enough.

No I think they fight! They need more room!

If the pot is big enough they should do okay until they start to become root bound.  At some time during their growth period they will have to be separated and put into individual pots or grown in the ground....

They should all survive - the rosemary is a perennial and the others are not; depending on how large the pot is, they should be just fine for this season.  Sweet basil may or may not come back next next.  You might let part of it bloom, go to seed & collect the seeds so you have more for next year.

A general potting mix works fine for herbs.  I can't help you as far as combining them in a pot - I usually stick 'em in the ground except for any mint - that's in a pot due to it's invasive nature.

Those sound just ncie together. The only thing I would be worried about is that rosemary likes to be on the dry side. I would suggest having rosemary separate and put something else in that pot, like thyme, sage, or chives. I have basil, chives, flat parsely, and jasmine all in one pot. The chives are the only unhappy ones in there.

Since you've already planted the pot, Just make sure that the pot is big enough for all 3 to grow happily together, and make sure you don't overwater the side with the rosemary. You're going to want to fertilise the pot with a high nitrogen feed every 2 weeks or so.

Weput ours in separate pots but the pots are close together, they seem to be doing fine, not crossing or anything.  We use potting soil and full sun.
