West Brom's latest signing Markus Rosenberg is confident of success with the club and is looking forward to making a big impression in the Premier League. The 29-year old arrived this week on a free transfer and has set his sights on success with
the Baggies.
Rosenberg signed for the Baggies yesterday as he arrived from German outfit Werder Bremen as a free agent. The 29-year old striker has played for a number of established and well known clubs such as Malmo, Ajax, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Racing-c40298 Santander and most recently Werder
Bremen.
The player’s contract with the German club ran out towards the end of last season and he signed a three-year contract with West Brom in a free transfer. Rosenberg will provide competition to the likes of Nigerian striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Odemwingie-c29794, Irishman Shane
Long and Marc-Antoine Fortune.
West Brom have no shortage of strikers, as Rosenberg joins the team and further strengthens their attacking http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429. The Swede may perhaps prove to be a very important signing for the Baggies given his experience and ability.
The player has scored 83 goals in 276 league games throughout his club career and has score six goals for the Swedish national team in 33 appearances. The striker was part of Sweden’s squad that travelled for the 2006 World Cup and the 2008 Euro championship.
Manager Steve Clarke is excited by the Swede’s arrival and is looking forward to working with him. Talking about the player, Clarke had highlighted his experience and ability, and encouraged him to live up to the rigours and demands of the Premier League.
Clarke also believes that the player will provide competition to the other strikers and keep them all in good form and on their toes.
In his first interview with the club’s official website, Rosenberg said:
“It's nice to finally get the deal done. I met Dan (Ashworth) a few weeks ago in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015 and the head coach in Malmo during the pre season tour. I had a lot of offers but I have never played in the Premier League and it was something I really wanted to try.”
The Swedish striker joins Yassine El-Ghanassy, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Yacob-c9331 as West Brom’s third signing of the summer.
