OK, I have been using Rosetta Stone Japanese Level One, and it is working fine, but I am a bit confused. I was talking to a person learning Japanese, and they said Rosetta was teaching me weird ways to put things. So, I wanted some clarification. He said the following sentence was incorrect:
"Kare ha kuruma o motte imasu." Is it incorrect and what does it mean if it isn't.
He also said that 'Kanojo ha untenshite imasu' didn't mean 'she drives.' Is he correct or not.
Could you please translate the following sentences as well to make sure that Rosetta has it right:
Kare ha ryourishite imasu.
Otona tachi ha gohan o tabete imasu.
Watashi ha hon o yonde imasu.
Kanojo ha ocha o nonde imasu.
Otoko no hito ha hashitte imasu.
Anata ha oyoide imasu.
According to him these verbs are in -te form and wouldn't make sense. I would translate them into present tense such as, 'she swims', 'they cook', etc. He said they were commands. Please help!
