Rosetta stone language tool?

ok so can someone PLEASE explain to me how this rosetta stone software is going to help me learn a language?? i really want to learn korean but not going to waste my time using this because i do not see how i'm going to learn the language at all just by clicking, and if i get it wrong i just click another one.

Consult your local public library which is tied into the Rosetta Stone program.  Someone there can bring you up to speed.
