Ross Brawn turns down all rumours of his retirement
The Mercedes GP team boss, Ross Brawn has turned down all rumours regarding his resignation from the team. While talking to the media he stated that he is going to stay with the team and will take it to the top very soon.
There have been speculations lately regarding the resignation of Brawn from the team. A few reports stated that the German team is going to see a complete restructuring; however Brawn brushed off all the rumours saying, "I will not resign until this team
is successful."
Ross Brawn is one of the most successful names in contemporary Formula One world. The man behind the success of Benetton and Ferrari in the past also brought royals to the Brawn GP team in the last season. The team was able to win six out of the first seven
races, bagging both, the drivers’ as well as the constructors’ championship. The team driver, Jenson Button also bagged his first drivers’ title with the team and it is believed that he could not have won the title ever, if Brawn was not at his back.
Similarly, the five consecutive wins of Michael Schumacher are also attributed to the mastermind Ross Brawn, who, at that time was working with the racer in Ferrari. Brawn is determined to take Mercedes GP to the top, after having spent a very disappointing
2010 season.
However, rumours are on the rise that he might not be seen with the team for another year. However, he insisted that Brawn GP was his brain child and proved a great success. He now believes that Mercedes GP is also one of the ventures that is very close
to his heart and he has worked hard to make it a success, and will not quit unless the team succeeds.
While talking about his future aspirations he stated, “It’s true that we started the development of the 2011 car early, but that doesn't mean we have therefore put in more resources than the three teams ahead of us. We won't experience this fairytale of
2009 for a second time. But I'm sure we'll have a very good car. We'll only know how good when we drive it. If it's as good as we think it is, then we've also the organisation in the back to develop it during the season."
