Ross Gannon, a bright possibility for Bet On Your Mobile At Williamhill.Com Stakes on 24th February
The Grade A6 Bet On Your Mobile At Williamhill.Com Stakes will be held on Friday, 24th February at Sunderland. It will be raced over 450 metres flat and has attracted six contestants.
The three-year-old Ross Gannon, Droopys Scolari’s blue son out of b***h Balamory, penetrated into the 2012 season by winning the 450 metres race at Sunderland on 4th January. He was on the other side of the wire in 28.43 seconds and led by a length. Spirithill Gem finished the closest to the winner.
Ross Gannon’s last three starts have been in Grade A7 races and he has been sent as a favourite for each of them. On 3rd February, the 7/4 favourite finished fifth in the William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes at Sunderland. The race was won by Galgo Descarado who covered the 450 metres track in 28.33 seconds.
Ross Gannon’s next start was in the Grade A7 William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes on 8th February at Sunderland. This time the 4/5 favourite of the race made it to the third position behind the winner. Glengoogle Rocket clocked the 450 metres distance in 28.28 seconds while the second in line was Calzaghe Bolt who managed the distance in 28.32 seconds.
After staying winless in three starts, Ross Gannon finally won the Grade A7 Bet On Your Mobile At Williamhill.Com Stakes for which he was entered as a 4/5 favourite. He raced through the 450 metres distance in 28.55 seconds while leading by ½ a length.
There are high chances that Ross Gannon will get entered as a favourite in today’s race too and get a chance to strike the third victory of the new season.
Yet another hound with considerable potential is Distant Miracle, Skywalker Ace’s black and white son out of b***h Distant Holly, has won during the new season thrice already. He won the Willaimhill.Com Stakes at Sunderland on 24th January. He was sent into the race as a 6/4 favourite.
He got done with the 450 metres track in 28.82 seconds and led by 1 ¾ lengths.
On 7th February, Distant Miracle won the Williamhill.Com Stakes by clocking the 450 metres distance in 28.41 seconds. He was entered as a 7/2 collective favourite for the race.
His last start was a victory too, he won the Williamhill.Com Stakes on 18th February against the 2/1 favourite of the race, Catunda Jane, who finished fifth.
