Ross Pearson talks about feud with George Sotiropoulos – UFC News
UFC fighter Ross Pearson has asserted that his feuds against coach George Sotiropoulos on ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs. U.K.’ went a little overboard. According to Ross, the both were not really comfortable with each other.
“I'm not really one of the guys who kiss and tell, shall we say,” said Ross in an interview with MMAJunkie.com. “But yeah, things got out of hand at times. I'm way more professional than having a fight in the street. I've not done that since I was 15 years
old.”
Ross currently stands with 13 wins and 6 loses in MMA and 5 wins and 3 losses in UFC. On the other hand, Sotiropoulos stands with 14 wins and 4 losses in MMA and 7 wins and 2 losses in UFC. It should be noted here that both fighters were so furious over
each other on the show that President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship Dana White had to interrupt to ensure everything calms down.
“At times, things got a bit crazy and we got told by Dana to calm it down, think about what we're doing, and we're professional athletes. He nearly did – he nearly came out there. But (he got on) Skype, and we had a big screen. He called us and shouted down
my mobile. I can't go into detail, but we got bullocked,” he added.
Ross further revealed that Dana White and the UFC did not really think of the after-effects of pairing both of them together.
On the other hand, Dana White asserted that when this season of the show is over, he would sit with MMAJunkie to reveal the behind-the-scenes stories. White regards this season as the craziest season of the ‘Ultimate Fighter’ ever. He even admitted the fact
that he underestimated the rivalry between the two.
For now, White is hopeful that the season would entertain fans a lot, considering the fact that the rivalry is way more bitter than most fans thought. Ross, on the other hand, believes the pairing was done by the UFC, a decision which could have fired back
but White controlled it whenever necessary.
