with the help of a couple of half-centuries.

quite positive that the all-rounder can still contribute for the Black Caps.
“We’re still waiting on Jesse. As long as he keeps improving, if he can show he can do that (scoring) for a consistent period of time, he will be back in the team. I had a brief chat with him, Jesse is a pretty relaxed type of character. I haven’t talked
to the selectors. He’s still got a bit to go. If he continues on the upward spiral, he is not far away,” said Taylor.
There are still a lot of matches to be played in the fifth season of the league and Ryder has a chance to prove his worth to the selectors by scoring some big ones.
Taylor further commented about IPL and said that it is a great idea as many cricketers get a chance to prove their worth in the cash-rich league.
“Some of the players won’t get much of a go in other parts like the (English) county, they are getting their chance here,” he added.
