Ross Taylor confident of scoring at any position

McIntosh has not been able to score runs in the first Test match and the selectors may bring in James Franklin for the next match. If this happens, Martin Guptill will open the innings whereas Taylor will come in at number three.
Taylor said that he was willing to bat at any position as his aim is to score runs for his team and win matches. He further said that all the batsmen need to apply themselves in the next match in order to do well.
Taylor has been performing well in the Twenty20s but his Test match form has seen a serious dip. He became the most expensive player from New Zealand to be selected in 2011’s Indian Premier League grasping $NZ 1.3 million.
Although he was rewarded for his performance in the shortest version of the game, he admits that his form in Test cricket has been disappointing. He stated, “I've been disappointed with my form test cricket but my form in Twenty20 has been pretty good in
the last 12-18 months. I've put in a lot of hard work and I guess it's nice to get some reward.”
The Kiwi batsman said that he has been playing good cricket but he feels that luck has not favoured him at all. He further stated that he needs to get runs to set an example for the youngsters in the game.
He said, “Am I setting a good example for the younger players? I haven't been scoring runs, so probably not. The best way to lead this team is to score runs.”

of 30 plus in his last eight innings.
