Ross http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Taylor-c92915 says playing eleven against Australia almost certain – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 at the Brisbane Cricket Ground is almost certain.
The first Test of the two match series in Australia is scheduled to start from Thursday, December 1, 2011.
The Kiwi management announced a 13-member squad for the upcoming series led by Taylor. The remaining players are: http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DL-Vettori-c1384, Bradley
Watling, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KS-Williamson-c1813 and Reece Young.
According to Taylor, there might be confusion while finalising the bowling line up, but the playing eleven will be decided after analysing the pitch conditions.
The Kiwi skipper was confident that most of the players are certain. He added, “I'd say we're 90 percent there. There's still injuries and performances in the 'A' match but I guess we're only taking 12 to 13, you'll already know who the team will be. I think
with the balance of the side it's probably going to be the talking point of going with four quicks or three quicks with Dan (Vettori) batting at six.”
The New Zealand squad is almost the same which visited http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 recently and managed to win the one-off Test.
Boult is the only newcomer in the line up, as he was picked up on the back of some solid performances in domestic games.
However, the seamer might not be able to make it to the playing eleven for the first Test against the Kangaroos, as the team management will most probably opt for experience.
New Zealand will play one practice game against the Australia A side before the official start of the series and it might be an opportunity for Boult to impress his management.
However, Taylor added that the youngster might not be a part of the team even if he manages to do well in the practice game.
The 27-year-old said, “Even if he bowls well he still might not make the team as well so we'll just have to wait and see. I haven't seen the wicket yet. There's all this talk about how bouncy and how fast the wicket is. There's a lot more to go under the
bridge until then.”
Australia have not been playing consistently in the longest version of the game, but will still be a tough opposition on home soil and the Black Caps will need something special to defeat the hosts.
