  1. This is what happens when your head gets too big I guess.  If you don't pay your tax bill for 10 years and you earn $150 million over those 10 years.  The tax rate in Italy is probably 45% + interest for all those years could equal over $100 owed.  From the article it sounds like he thought the mob or someone in Italian congress would block anything from happening and he could just keep on not filing a tax return.  Maybe he should hire Wesley Snipes accountant!_!

  2. He is such a big celebrity over there I'm sure they will come to a compromise. But that is 1 h**l of a bill.  I find it hard to believe he could owe that much money. He should sack his accountant. and sue him.

Wow. that's how much a year he hasn't been paying  ???

    Wow again.

  3. Hey Wiggy

Maybe he'll go on the lam with Fabio Capello - they can form their own "high profile tax exile" club!

  4. I honestly thought he earned about 15Million euro a year. That is a mindblowing amount of money. He'll have to win the Championship this year to even start to pay this back. I just hope it doesnt affect his racing like he admitted it did this year :(

    edit:

Just remembered reading an article a few years back and Rossi had "allegedly" said that if the Italian press/govt didnt back off/appreciate what he was doing for Italy he would consider riding for GB as it was his second home. Dont know how or if that would work.

  5. wow..%ages.. can kill you.  $100 million can get whittled away as fast as $100 can.  Makes me wonder exactly what a dollar is worth at the end of the day.  Kinda sad really.
