  1. This is not new, there was debate about Vale quitting before he joined Yamaha for goodness sake.

The guy who said that he his not the youngest rider in the paddock is trying to imply that he is past it !!! What complete and utter pants. He is certainly not the oldest either. He has not even reached 30 yet for goodness sake.

Make no bones about it Valentino Rossi is still THE best rider in the Moto GP paddock and everyone knows it. Yes Casey has done well this season and I take nothing away from him at all. If he was riding any bike but the Ducati however he would not be world champion - no question.

  2. Well the only thing that we know for sure is that Vale is going through a tough period. He's a huge competitor and he's just mad with this season. And his statements are prove that-last year he said that is going to move in F1,then he said that he'll compete in Moto GP until 2010,then he changed his mind and said that he'll compete until 2012.After the Valencia GP Rossi said that he may turn to Ducati in 2008 and now he's thinking about quitting, ending with his current team.Am I the only one who got a bit confused?I think that  the reason for all that is that Vale loves his job,and he can hardly put up with not being #1 and what he's doing now is searching for a solution.I don't believe that he'll quit or turn to another motorsport. It's true that there are many younger and talented but  riders Rossi won't give them his crown easily(no matter what he says) :-)))))

  3. Lets admit it, he is not the youngest rider anymore and he is not doing so good. If I was him, I would either change the team, or leave... It's a difficult decision but I'm sure he'll do what is best for him and the fans of this sport!

I hope he stays for a while in MotoGP but if that is what he wants to do... We have to support him! And I'm sure there are new up coming starts in the sport which will try to take his place and be like him :)

  4. Please no, carnt have my weekend ruined,, Rossi please stay

  5. I wouldn,t be surprised if Rossi went to either WRC or some other  formula 1 team as he has already tested  a formula 1 car and has done a few stages in a WRC car and with the young riders coming into the Moto GP what has he left to prove.

  6. lets all hope rossi stays in motogp for a long time yet until at least we have character to replace him vale has brought the sport on leaps and bounds by his flambouyance and superhuman riding....hail rossi

  7. The whole point was summed up in the last few lines:

I quote : " with Rossi finishing third, the first time he had finished outside the top two in any category since his rookie season in 1996. "

    Outside the top two!!!!

EVERY team in the world would dream to have results like that. Every team meaning, ALL the big j*p 4 and all the smaller teams.

Vale will make his finish to the sport very VERY public.

I'm sure it will not be untill he beats Ago's all time race win list. If he does this, he will be be the second greatest rider in the world. Bar only one in world championship titles. [ Ago ]
