Roswell UFO Incident????

Was anyone alive, or knows anything about this? Yes I know a UFO crashed and all that, but I am not form the USA so I don't know a lot about it all. :)

No, a Ufo did not crash. A secret spy balloon crashed, the affair was clumsily hushed up by the government, the conspiracy nuts got hold of it and the town exploited the fame to make money from tourists.

What crashed was a radar target for a secret project.  It was being lifted by balloons.  There was nothing really remarkable about the materials or their construction, but since the project for which it was built was secret, the military couldn't give details.  That led people's imaginations to run wild.  The residents had seen other examples of these targets flying, and had taken to calling them "flying discs," not knowing what they were or what they were for.  Therefore when it was reported that the air force had "captured a flying disc," it was a bit misleading, since the "flying disc" in fact belonged to the air force.

The weather balloon cover story was indeed a cover up, but only for the crashed radar target, not some space craft.  The cover story was necessary to preserve the secrecy of the project.  The newspapers embellished the press release, linked it to previous sightings of "flying discs" (again, with no reference to space aliens), and the rest is business (er, um, history).

The story about captured space alien creatures themselves did not arise until a LONG time later, when UFO enthusiasts and authors began trying to trump up notoriety for the Roswell report.  That was in the 1980s.  Then -- and only then -- did people start coming out of the woodwork to say they had seen space alien bodies, and all the other hogwash that has come to be associated with Roswell.

In short, the Roswell incident was an accident involving some equipment built for a secret military project, that was rather clumsily covered up by the military; and then the UFO proponents went hog wild with it and won't let go of it.

Nothing happened but enough people believe something happened to provide the town of Roswell with a steady flow of tourists and their dollars.  Factories in China that produce the tacky souvenirs are also a beneficiary of this myth.

There was no UFO crash.  It was a military balloon that was being used in a secret military project to monitor the effects of Soviet nuclear testing.  The UFO story grew out of the secrecy around the balloon project.

This whole ludicrous story was started by a dense U.S. Army Air Force "Intelligence Officer" who did not know what a balloon was. This raises the interesting question of how the U.S. got to be a military super power.

This is something the world is not suppose to know the full story of, at this time --- exactly when the details about it, will be released?  I don't know.  Even the Plejarens won't talk about it directly - however they do talk around it a little.

Note - there was a similar incident to Roswell, after Roswell, in New Mexico.
