Roswell happened.  As to exactly what the facts are, only a few know.

There are two or three different views on this.  Theory

(1) A UFO (flying disc) crashed with humanoids on board.  The government covered it up.

(2) A surveillance high altitude balloon used to spy on Russia fell there and rather than reveal "project Mogul" the government put out the UFO story and then discredited it.

(3) A secret experimental aircraft crashed and was initially thought to be a UFO and a disinformation campaign was started to disguise what had actually crashed.  They said a weather balloon.

Not sure how it's fiction when there was a handful of eye witnesses.

Also, the U.S Government never truly denied or admitted anything at Roswell, it just kind of "faded away"....

True, government cover up , too many witnesses left that remember details.I have always believed that the government has communication with alien forms of life.
