  1. No one here could tell you for sure. Just pick what you want to believe.

Either its true and we may never know for sure, or its a government policy of mis-information so they can develop & test planes and weapons in plain sight without us being aware.

  2. YES!

    ETs are for real!

Astronaut Edgar Mitchell recently came forward to say that Roswell was a cover up.

  3. The Roswell aliens would have to be the mopes of the universe.

  4. Yes and Yes.

  5. The debris recovered from the crash sites turned out to be remnants of weather balloons.

Then 30 years later, some guy called Stanton T Friedman said that the US goverment covered up the story and suggested that they were indeed UFO's.

As for the other stories, we will actually never know the truth about them since a lot of wild speculation has gone on, and there has never been any concrete evidence whatsoever.

  6. i do belive that were not the only living things in space.  Space is endless, even if it is just plants, or bacteria.  but the "aliens" live so far away that it would take them to long to get here.  Somthing crashed at roswell, i just dont think it was aliens.  I heard from many people that it was a weather ballon that crashed that day.  who knows why the government took it, mybe it was aliens and the government doesnt want people to worry, but we'll probally never know.

  7. It was actually a kind of comedy of errors.  I don't think the whole story is completely known, but based on what I have read, here's what I think happened.

A balloon train from a project called Mogul, launched from Alamagordo about a day earlier, ran into a thunderstorm and crashed near Roswell.  Mogul was a top secret project.  They were monitoring the atmosphere for evidence of nuclear testing in the Soviet Union.  Not the kind of thing you advertise.

When this thing crashed, the Mogul people rushed to get it picked up, but they didn't get there until some of the locals got a chance to see it and grab some pieces.  Even though he was in the military, Jesse Marcel had no idea what it was.  Neither did any other military in that area, except for General Ramey, I suppose.

The story got out that people had found this stuff and the military semi-seriously discussed taking advantage of that by saying it was a suspected flying saucer.  The famous Kenneth Arnold flying saucer fiasco was only a few months earlier.  I think this probably started as a joke, but somebody mentioned it to the press and an article was written in the papers.  Shortly after, the government, embarrassed by the mistake, said that wasn't true.  They then gave the weather balloon story.  The seminal UFO cult got wind of it and swarmed in to get all the dope they could.  Locals were more than willing to relieve some of the desert boredom by taking part and well, making up some stuff.

    The rest is history.

Edit: So when people claim the weather balloon story was a cover-up, they're right.  But they weren't covering up the discovery of an alien craft.  They were covering up a secret spy program.
