I need to make a rotation for my employees. I have 10 employees with 3 working 1st shift, and 3 working 2nd shift a day. How can I come up with a good rotation for them, rather than having random days all the time? Three employees are part-time so they really don't need a strict rotation. Please help me out.......

  1. Alternate them every other week.

    Let's use some variables.

    1st Shift = A

    2nd Shift = B

A works for a week in first shift, B works a week in 2nd shift.  A then switches to where B was and B goes to first shift.  Or do it every 2 weeks to make it easier.

There you go, that should work fine,

    TL: 3 first shift, 3 second shift = 6.  3 that are part time = 9 total + original poster = 10 people.

  2. 3 + 3 = 10?????

  3. Why let them rotate?  I would advertise and hire for a specific shift then you won't have these issues.
