Rotc scholarship and book money

Question

in college, the rotc scholarship offers a certain amount of money per year for books. do any of u know if this money HAS to be spent on books only, or can it be spent on something else? what kind of money is it, do they come in checks or what?

AFROTC pays book money directly into the cadet's bank account.  We typically pay book money on the 45th day of the semester (halfway through) so the book money is reimbursement vs. actually book allowance.

You get $1200 per year for books and it is deposited into your account.  Feel free to blow it on beer and fast food.
