OK, so my boyfriend and I are doing a last ditch effort to save our 10week old rottweiler. Our vet took x-rays and thinks he most likely had hip dysplsia (young i know!). Most of the signs are there...he has a funny walk in the back, he whines/yelps if we stretch his legs back and upwards. However he does not do the bunny hop....he runs crooked actually and he is very playful and active. So we are taking him to the specialist today so he can look at the xrays to really see if he has HD. Our vet couldnt say for sure because of all the cartilidge a puppy has. Surgery is not an option for us at this point. We cannot afford it, nor can we afford to take the time off work to help our little guy recover. If it is HD, does anyone know of any remidies which are not surgical? Also, does anyone know any rottweilers or other big dogs who have lived pain-free with HD?

We are deperate....the pet store (i know.....) wants to take him back on Wednesday and we cannot bear the thought of strangers taking him and putting him down. PLease help ASAP!!
