Rough Course to go smooth in the Grade A2 4th Leg Pick 6 Jackpot
Six have gathered for contesting the £88 prize money of the Grade A2 4th Leg Pick 6 Jackpot over 462 metres flat at Yarmouth on Monday, 24th September. Competing tonight are Ballymac Megan, Golden Donaire, Heres Hoping, Dual Control,
Blackrose Diva and Rough Course.
One of the most promising entries for the race is the three-year-old black and white dog, Rough Course. The three-year-old started racing just this season, predominantly at Yarmouth over 462 metres.
The A Kelly-Pilgrim trained has tried his best to maintain composure in the last three races, a second position sandwiched between two wins.
On 3rd September, 2012 Crash’s son manipulated the line-up of the Grade A4 462 metres flat at Yarmouth.
He had drawn the fifth trap. Racing in orange, he raced away from the rest of the lot quite quickly, ran at the wide end, and ended up leading thusly concluding the track distance in 28.87 seconds.
Missing the race by short head’s difference was, Jans Jade.
The black and white dog then slacked a bit during the next race by finishing just next to the winner. Rough Course took on from the sixth gate, but became a victim of getting crowded when racing in the second position.
He missed the winner’s spot by the margin of two lengths as the race was won by, Hollys George, in 28.42 seconds.
Filling in the third position behind the winner was, Borna Bundles.
Rolling up sleeves and getting back to the business, the three-year-old out of, Rough Venture, claimed a Grade A3 462 metres flat race on 17th September, 2012 at Yarmouth.
The fifth trap played its wonder once again, and Rough Course timed the track distance in 28.21 seconds.
Picking up enough pace to set aside from the rest of the lot, killing in the metres on the wide end and then reinforcing himself in the leading position settled the race in 28.21 seconds.
Crossing the wire by the mere margin of a neck had Galtee Georgia qualifying as the runner-up.
Rough Course will race out of the sixth gate tonight, and has the advantage of avoiding the possibility of getting stuck in the traffic in the field.
