Question:

Rough bathroom plumbing from Jayman 2004 home?

I have a Jayman built 2004 home with a basement rough bathroom. No drywall is on the bathroom walls and is open (no drywall or insulation) to laundry room and no finished ceiling. I see the toilet sewer drain but nothing else. I see all the pipes (I seem to have one copper and the rest plastic) between the studs of the ceiling but none are "coming down" through the wall studs. I see all pipes coming from the main and run along the basement ceiling. The floor is concrete-no finish. I see no markings on the concrete marking under concrete piping. The basement is completely not finished and I see in between all studs in the walls and ceilings.

Get a good picture in your head, now? The seller said it was roughed in and I called Jayman and they located the house file and it states bathroom was roughed in.

Anyone have any experience with Jayman 2004 homes to give me some advice.

Second question: does anyone know of a plumber that will not cost an arm or a leg and have experience with new homes. Everything's gotta be there...just can't see it.

Thanks!

  1. Take a hammer and lightly tap around on the floor. The pipes are probably covered with a thin layer of concrete. They should all be within two feet of the walls. They will have plastic covers on them.
