  1. until they no longer meet the specs! owners manual is a good place to start. it should give the inspection/change frequency for your truck!

  2. Before jumping to a replacement conclusion there is a simple test to test the relative value of your springs. At your dealer of your truck or other good allignment shop they check the ride height from the ground to various point under the truck's suspension and frame rails. If the truck is below the manufacturer's recommmended ride height new springs are in order. Shocks should br replaced every 50,000 km's or miles. Att allignment time shops check ball joints, tie-rod ends center links, pitman arms and steering arms.

As a general rule if you don't carry heavy loads in the truck every day your springs should be fine.

  3. as you told the scene one thing is clear that there is time span that any person can tell you exactly ..............it also depend upon your diving style ........and also on quality of stuff taken ....

  4. Your shocks (suspension) and springs are way over due.  Even on hwy (smooth road) driving they would have needed new shocks (about twice).  Springs suffer metal fatigue and lose springiness - especially when driven on dirt road.

    Good Luck...
