  1. Depends on the resolution of the camera. No matter the resolution, it's not going to store much at all. The manufacturers give you a little card like an 8GB card, because they have too, but it's not meant to be used primarily.

  2. i dont exactly know but mine is 11 mb and i can get 139 images so and it also depends on how many mega pixles your cam is

  3. It depends...... Roughly 4 images at 2 Mb each.

  4. That would depend on the quality and detail of the pictures. At high quality you could only get one or two. At VGA quality you could get 20.  Will find more information and complete this answer.

Look at the bottom of the source link and you will see information for 512 Mb with different photo situations. You would double this for 1GB.

Each picture takes is a little different depending on the content.

The quality settings are SuperFine (SF) (the better), Fine (F) and Normal (N).

    The resolutions are:

    3,264 x 2,448 (Large); 2,592 x 1,944 (Medium 1); 2,048 x 1,536 (Medium 2); 1,600 x 1,200 (Medium 3/Date Stamp); 640 x 480 (Small); 3,264 x 1,832 (Wide screen)

with a 512 MB card you can take (on the average):

    Large: 3,264 x 2,448

    (SF) 139 (F) 231 (N) 479

    Wide screen: 3,264 x 1,832

    (SF) 183 (F) 307 (N) 642

    Medium1: 2,592 x 1,944

    (SF) 190 (F) 339 (N) 671

    Medium2: 2,048 x 1,536

    (SF) 295 (F) 529 (N) 1,041

    Medium3: 1,600 x 1,200

    (SF) 471 (F) 839 (N) 1,590

    Small : 640 x 480

    (SF) 1,777 (F) 2,747 (N) 4,317

These of course are estimates. If your scenes have a lot of sharp details then the pictures can occupy a little more. On the other side, if you only photograph sunsets or white walls, then you can fit more photo... :-)

For the 2Gb card, you can just take the values above for the 512Mb and you multiply roughly by 4.

So for example, at the maximum resolution, at the best quality, you can save approx. 139 x 4 = 556 photos on the 2Gb card.

The secret to making digital cameras work better is having good electrical contacts between the batteries and the camera.

Check the second source link for more information.

Digital cameras require lots of power. If electrical contacts are not really good, this can cause lots of problems so battery and camera contacts must be cleaned properly.  Batteries may have a full charge, but will be viewed by the camera as low if contacts are not really good. The LCD display is a low steady load, but with extending the lens, focus, optical zoom, and flash charging in the capture mode; it is like starting a car.  With bad contacts, cameras can do strange things like blurring pictures or shutting off with the lens out.

  5. About 24, that's a pixel setting of 640x480.

  6. I think you mean 8gb?  Depends on the size of the files, how many pixels is the camera?

  7. Not sure about 8MB, however at 2 megapixel resolution, you can store 35 images (900KB each) on a 32MB card.
