In March 2003 Welshman Tony Evans dropped a ball from an aircraft a kilometer above the Mojave Desert to see if it would bounce. The ball was made from 6 million rubber bands, had a circumference of 5.25m, weighed 11200kg and took Mr. Evans five years to build. On average, roughly how many rubber bands did he add to the ball each day while making it?

How did you figure this out?

Please show ur steps. thx = )

  1. 11,200,000 g/6,000,000 rubber bands = g/band.

    5 X 365 = days it took to make.

    11,200,000g/5X365 = g/day.

If you know how many grams the average rubber band weighs, and you know how many grams are added per day, then you can easily figure how many bands are added per day.

    Good luck.
