  1. For a "Frozen" ATPL in the UK (ie CPL, multi engine rating, instrument rating and MCC course + groundschool) - you're looking at about 65k at a good school.

    A CPL on its own doesn't actually qualify you to do much.  It's the ATPL (Airline Transport Pilots Licence) that enables you to fly airliners.


  2. In the u.k it would be about 30,000 - 40,000 pounds., maybe more...   still no guarantee of a job at the end of it...

  3. First, there's no such thing as a pilot's 'license'.  It's a 'Certificate'.  It's only a 'license' to learn.

    That being said, figure $8k for Private, another $7.5K for instrument rating, then another $10 to $15k for commercial, Multi engine rating will run another $5k to $8K.
