  1. Princess cut is gorgeous. They say marquise cuts are bad luck for engagement rings, and round is boring

  2. Princess cut is the best!

  3. princess!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Princess for Sureee! My wedding ring is a band of 12 princess cut diamonds. andmy engagement ring which we just ordered is 3 stone princess cut.. theyre gorgeous

  5. They are all gorgeous, but I prefer Princess cut.  It doesn't matter what shape you get her, she should love it no matter what.

  6. Princess. It sparkles the most and looks the best. Get white gold... platnum is hard to take care of.

  7. round has the most brilliance..it shows the diamonds beauty to the max!  Princess is cute and very modern...depending what her taste is, and Marquise is not that popular but it compliments chubby fingers.

  8. Depends..

Platinum or white gold go with a Brilliant Cut, or Marquise.

Yellow gold go brilliant or princess..

I would only recomend brilliant cut if you are going a solitaire (no less than a carat), otherwise go princess...

By the way- if she has short fat fingers a princess wont suit, and marquise would be best.

Perhaps look at Emerald Cut also, this is rarer than a princess and looks BEAUTIFUL in white gold or platinum...

  9. Marquise and Princess will come and go, but the classics will always be just that.  Go with the round.  Preferably at least 2 ct.

  10. Round

  11. If you're speaking of diamonds.....

I chose heart shaped.  That's what I have for my ring.

The heart is a symbol of love......

Whatever you choose - don't let jewelers tell you one is more expensive than the other because of the cut - that's a bunch of bull!  They try to tell you that because they want to make more on the diamond.

And....they'll try to push "certified" diamonds on you.  Unless you plan to carry that certification around and flaunt it to everyone who even glimpses at your ring.....it's just another reason they slap on more to the cost of the diamond/ring.  You will be amazed at the clarity and color of diamonds you can find that are not certified.  And you still can get it appraised and insured for value.

One more note....many jewelers will try to sell you the replacement insurance.  Our jeweler automatically tacked it on to the price when my husband bought it.  And I thought that was a bunch of crock too....BUT.....7 months after we got married, I lost my center heart stone.  They replaced it with one of equal value (that turned out to be a little bigger than my lost one) for free.  I was soooo happy!

  12. emerald, but if i had to choose out of those three..princess..doesn't every girl want to be 1..and have 1? :)

  13. Marquise!

  14. emerald cut

  15. princess

  16. does the person in question have a preference? After all I am not the one who is going to be wearing it

  17. mmmm. Personally. Out of the three round. BUT, Emerald cut is pretty cool too. And they have a new one, it's called Ideal cut. It's supposed to reflect the light the best out of any.
