  1. Lets see what happens in the pre season first ....... one or both teams could get injuries to top quality players.

Carlton got a very good player in trade week, and should be of help to the midfield, Richmond have got some good young players heading up the ranks.

Should be a good game, but as yet no one knows who will be in the starting 22 for both teams.

  2. Carlton has some youngsters that are now going to come of age (Murphy and Gibbs especially), and one of the best midfields in the league, but Judd and Stevens had pretty ugly injuries, so don't expect huge things from them to start the season.

There is no ruckman (Cloke has never been the same since injured, Ackland is a waste of oxygen and O'Halpin will make a great backman or centre-half forward, but never a ruckman). The new #1 is just a rookie, so don't expect much for 2-3 years.

Also, I think the backline is suspect, and whilst I love Ratts, he is an unknown.

Don't get me wrong, if all goes well injury-wise Carlton will be competitive (maybe 8-10 on the ladder), but still a few holes to fill before they're a finals side.

My tip - Carlton to win by 20 points over Richmond in round 1.

  3. it would be nice

but against the tigers they are more likely to lose but cause a upset against a team that they are not expected to win

  4. Basically , everyone has tipped Carlton. I don't blame them .

But though Judd and Fevola  are great players and  have a great  support group of  Betts,Stevens, Hadley , Carrazo and Setana O Hailpin. I have a feeling that Chris Judd will not deliver the expectations put upon him and he will rarely play a game.

Unto  why I think Richmond can/ will win.

They have new recruits Mitch Morton from West Coast Eagles and Jordan McMahon from the Bulldogs who have more than 120 games experience between them.

They have young guns Foley,  Deledio, ,Tambling , Riewoldt and experienced players Simmonds and Nathan Brown.

My point is proven via  last years wins over Collingwood and Essendon( Both are great teams) . By 10 and 17 points respectively. If this isn't enough, what is?

  5. I agree!

  6. Juddy will do his ACL in the first 5 minutes, Tigers will win by 65 points. Kidding, we will get done, I hold no hope at all for us this season.

  7. i love the blues, but i don't expect we'll thump Richmond in rd1,yes we have done ok in the draft and yes we will get Stevens back and cloke, but i think we are still a little way off smashing sides, but we do have a good chance of a win or at least should be more competitive for the year.

  8. Should be a fantastic game actually...

I'm not a Blues supporter, but I think they will ok against the Tigers.

Fingers crossed Richmond thrash them - After the Judd fiasco, the Blues need a reality check :P

  9. I have a massive soft spot for the Tigers,so i really hope they win.

My daughter barracks for them and I'm over $hit stirring her and it's getting old.I am seriously starting to feel sorry for her and them.hehehe

So I am hoping for a Richmond first round WIN!!!!

  10. Yes the blues by 45points

  11. If you ask any Carlton supporter they will tell you, yes - because they have now got Chris Judd.

He is the answer to ALL their problems - he is going to solve everything.

(I actually feel sorry for him already!)

  12. No

  13. No, Carlton are going to tank all next year so they can get another top draft pick.

  14. The Blues will win by 6 goals

  15. Nah I dont think they will thunmp them...but i expect them to win
